Sean Russell is a multi-platinum producer and recording/mix engineer based in the D.C. metropolitan area with over 15 years of in-studio and location-based recording experience. He brings a wealth of wisdom and aptitude to the Blue Room Music Studio team, and has worked with critically acclaimed artists, including Damien and Stephen Marley, Bruno Mars, India.Arie, Allison Krauss, Don Was, KIXX, ODESZA, the Pietasters, John Medeski, and Warren Haynes.
Sean is passionate about teaching one-on-one audio technology classes to enthusiasts and beginners alike, and has engineered for internationally renowned producers, including Gordon Chambers (Aretha Franklin), Rich Harrison (Christina Aguilera, J-Lo), Jim Ebert (Butch Walker, Cowboy Mouth), and Glen Ellis (TroubleFunk, Chuck Brown). He also enjoys composing and mixing audio for film, and is the proud DC recordist for The Moth—a renowned non-profit that promotes the craft of live storytelling with over 30,000 stories presented worldwide.
